Volunteer Service

St John needs you! If you are a team player and want to make a difference in your community, then we are looking for you.

The St John volunteers provide First Aid services at local or state sporting events, concerts and public or private gatherings. Below are some of the activities that you will be involved in when you become a St John volunteer.

  • National Events (conferences, celebrations,)
  • PNG AFL competitions
  • School carnivals
  • PNG Independence Celebrations
  • Hiri Moale Festival
  • Trukai Fun Run

To be a St John Volunteer, you must be healthy and physically fit , be team-oriented. Prepared to obtain the Emergency First Aid and Senior First Aid Certificates and attend the weekly meetings and trainings.

St John offers you training and a uniform when you become a volunteer.

Getting young people involved!

The Cadet division is for young people from primary school to secondary school (age 7—18 years old).

Cadets not only learn to be good First Aiders but they also go through personal development in leadership, team building, independence and discipline.  They meet once a week to develop their skills and have fun.
