Sir Brian Bell Foundation
Sir Brian Bell Foundation has a long history of supporting ST John through a number of initiatives. The Foundation has provided to full-equipped 4WD ambulances to St John in the last two years, which have collectively helped thousands of people.
The Foundation continues to fully sponsor St John’s Komuniti first aid programs including the First Aid in Schools program which has given first aid training to over 2,000 high school students in Port Moresby.
For nearly five years Trakpro PNG has been providing free GPS tracking of all St John ambulances and additional support to ensure every ambulance is fitted with state-of-the-art emergency lights and sirens that improve visibility even in dangerous and poor weather.
The New Zealand Government
The New Zealand Government has been providing an outstanding support to St John over the last two years. This has included assisting with the mobilisation of disaster medical emergency assessment teams to the earthquake affected highlands region in 2018, the construction of a major operations centre and headquarters building for APEC, and more recently providing scholarships for four St John ambulance educators to pursue academic studies in paramedicine with St John New Zealand.
The Australian Government
The Australian Government has provided over a million dollars in support to St John between 2018 and 2019. The support provided assistance to the logistical functions for delivering ambulance and prehospital care services for APEC 2018, including the mobilisation of over 70 Australian and New Zealand Paramedics.
Australian government has been providing assistance to St John in a broad range of areas including:
- Placement of short and longer-term paramedic and technical advisors
- Development of clinical and operational protocols and procedures
- Upgrade of critical emergency dispatch and call centre systems
- Computer aided dispatch system upgrades
- Radio and telecommunications infrastructure
- Paramedic rapid response vehicle
- Development of a Leadership and Management course tailored to the needs of St John’s administration and frontline managers
- Corporate software solutions
St John Australia
St John Australia provides ongoing managerial, governance and training assistance to St John to ensure our organisation meets and exceeds the international reputation people expect of St John globally.
Digicel PNG continues to be a primary support to St John ensuring the highest level of emergency tele-communications systems are maintained and operational. Over 4 million people in Papua New Guinea rely on the Digicel network.
Digicel’s sponsorship to St John exceeds K1 million over the last four years and has ensured the service could grow and expand at a rapid rate.

Black Swan International is PNG’s premier security high-end security provider. Their support to St John includes monitoring our fleet and responding to distress calls 24/7 everywhere our ambulances operate.

BSP has long been a supporter of St John. Most recently they’ve contributions have helped procure a new paramedic response vehicle valued at over K250,000.00
